About Shin-Yee Yau
Shin Yau is a landscape and wildlife photographer who grew up in Maryland, catching fireflies and watching summer storms. At the age of 14, he picked up his father’s Cannon AE-1 and has not stopped photographing, leading Shin to his cinematography focus at The University of Southern California. Currently a motion graphics software tester for Apple, Shin consistently backpacks through the Southwest with his camera, always inspired by his first dive into wildlife photography on a trip near the Salton Sea. His work has shown in the previous G2 exhibit, Off the Beaten Path: Views from Yosemite and Broadway Art Space’s exhibit, WIP Flash “First Nature” Benefit Art Show 2012, in Santa Monica, CA.
