About Rick Kattelmann

Rick Kattelmann is a photographer and hydrologist based in Sunny Slopes, California. One of the founders of the Eastern Sierra Land Trust, Rick has lived in various parts of the Sierra Nevada for more than 35 years. He studied forestry and hydrology at both the University of California, Berkeley and Santa Barbara campuses and has authored more than 100 scientific and technical papers. His images have exhibited in past G2 exhibits, ‘Off the Beaten Path: Views From Yosemite” and the Northeast, South, Midwest and West installments of G2 Gallery’s “100 Years of National Parks” exhibit series. Rick has also written guest posts for The Luminous Landscape, and his images have appeared in Black & White Magazine and several books published by UC Press and others.
