About John Fisanotti
John Fisanotti is a photographer based in Los Angeles, California. Initially intrigued by astronomy as a child, John grew to love photography as a way to capture eclipses and star trails. He studied the subject at Glendale Community College and California State University Los Angeles, and his first job out of college was at a custom, commercial photo lab. Soon after, John entered the field of urban studies and remained a public servant for 31 years before returning to his childhood passion. His images have been exhibited in Off the Clock from 2013-2015, as well as UC Riverside’s Focus on the Universe: Astro-photographers of Southern California. They have also appeared in several calendars, including the Sierra Club’s, and Sky and Telescope Magazine.
