National Wildlife Federation

For over 80 years, the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) has united Americans to ensure wildlife thrives in a rapidly changing world. NWF annually engages six million grassroots supporters across the political spectrum in wildlife conservation activities, conservation education and environmental advocacy. In California, NWF focuses on leading the urban conservation movement. Wildlife needs connectivity and Americans need connections to wildlife – this coexistence concept is what drives their vision in the Golden State. NWF works to immerse people in nature and find ways to link urban areas and open space, and to create the corridors to help both wildlife and people thrive. NWF’s most prominent California priority, #SaveLACougars, seeks to build the largest wildlife crossing in the world in the Los Angeles area to help save a population of mountain lions from extinction.
