Environmental G2 Gallery Presents a Screening of the
Heartwarming Documentary Little Miss Dewie
Little Miss Dewie Screening, Silent Auction and Q&A Session with the Filmmakers will take place at the G2 Gallery in Venice, CA on October 11, 2008
Venice, CA— The G2 Gallery in Venice, CA presents a screening of Little Miss Dewie, a film by Mira Tweti and J.P. Sarro. There will be a silent action and the filmmakers will be in attendance to answer questions after the screening. The event will run from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. on the evening of Saturday, October 11.
Little Miss Dewie is a "duckumentary" that follows the true story of Mira Tweti, an investigative journalist, who found an orphaned duckling at a lagoon in Los Angeles. Tweti came to the duck's rescue, named her Dewie, and gave her a place to live until she was able to find a more suitable home. Tweti's articles have been featured in the The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times and L.A. Weekly. She is also the author of three books and directed and produced a documentary called Birds of a Feather. G2 Gallery is a natural fit to present the heartwarming screener as it is dedicated to supporting the environment.
G2 Gallery is an environmentally conscious gallery that showcases photography and other forms of artwork that depict our natural world. Currently on display is the exhibit Robert Glenn Ketchum: A Life Well Lived Forty Years in the Making featuring works by the renowned photographer. There will be a $15 donation at the door to attend the screening. G2 Gallery donates 100% of proceeds to environmental charities.
