The G2 Gallery Presents Romance
Group Show of Photography will open Tuesday, February 9, 2010
Venice, CA – In tribute to Valentine’s Day, The G2 Gallery will premiere Romance, a group exhibition of photography documenting bonding animal pairs, opening Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Based on the premise that we view playful touching and caressing between animals as symbolic of the human emotion we call love, G2 Director Jolene Hanson has curated a series of images by some of the world’s top nature and wildlife photographers who have captured tender moments.

Romance will feature the work of photographers Thomas D. Mangelsen, Marc Muench, Harry Giglio, J.J. L’Heureux, Larry Wan, Ira Mintz, Kristen Westlake, Mark Levine, Mike Caroff, Carl Richards, and Daniel Gottlieb and Susan Gottlieb.

Exhibition events will include an opening reception on Friday, February 12, at 6:30 p.m. with Frank Sinatra tribute singer, Danny DeLurgio; and a Valentine’s Charity Fundraiser benefiting Voice for the Animals, The Kitten Rescue, and Hope for Paws on Saturday, February 13, at 6:30 p.m. Charity fundraiser guests are encouraged to bring their best loved animal companions.
