The G2 Gallery Presents Nature LA: Carl Richards
Solo Show of Photography Opens January 5, 2010
Venice, CA – On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, The G2 Gallery will present Nature LA: Carl Richards, a solo exhibition of photography. This exhibition will be a part of G2 Gallery’s Nature LA series. Nature LA brings into focus the work of individual photographers based in the Los Angeles area whose passion is shooting in nature. The exhibitions rotate regularly to showcase up-and-coming photographers from Los Angeles.

For his exhibition at the G2 Gallery, Carl Richards will reinterpret some of his most popular works on new media, bringing fresh context to scenes of nature and wildlife printed on handmade papers crafted from natural fibers, and wood.

About Carl Richards
Carl Richards is a native New Yorker who relocated to Marina del Rey, in the 1990’s. Carl began his career as the general manager of a fashion-advertising agency working closely with art directors and photographers covering photo shoots. He went on to become an Assistant Director/Producer for the film industry, giving him the opportunity to work with academy-award winning cinematographers, and instilling in him a deep appreciation for the use of lighting in composing an image.
