New G2 Gallery in Venice Showcases World-Famous
Photography Honoring Conservation Efforts
G2 Gallery's Grand Opening Features Renowned Wildlife Photographer Tom Mangelsen
Venice, CA – On March 8, 2008, G2 Gallery in Venice, CA opens its doors for the first time with a private exhibition featuring the work of distinguished wildlife photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen. Together they will support and promote nature conservation, education and appreciation.
While Mangelsen is most famous for his photographs, "Catch of the Day" and "Morning Shower," he exemplifies his appreciation for the world through his photography. "I am interested in bringing that experience into people's homes, into their personal spaces, to remind them what we have to protect and care about," says Mangelsen.
G2 Gallery, an environmentally conscious gallery, believes that photography is a medium, perhaps more than any other, that has the power to show both what is and what could be.  The gallery will donate a portion of its art sales to environmental charities, including Friends of Ballona Wetlands and the Environmental Media Association.
The gallery will be open to the general public on March 11, 2008.
