Makgadikgadi Pan Game Reserve Jack's Camp Optional Extension with Roy Toft
March 6 - 10, 2012
While on a trapping expedition in the Makgadikgadi Pans during the 60's, Jack Bousfield stumbled upon a site that so captured his imagination, he set up camp under an acacia with the unshakeable expectation that others would feel the same. We invite you to spend some time on the website to see why this is such a special place. You are invited to join Roy Toft for three days prior to the start of the Botswana Wildlife Safari in this very special part of Africa. Maximum Number of Photographers: 8. Focus on Planet Earth 2012 Botswana Wildlife Safari with Roy Toft
March 9 - 20, 2012
This safari will be the seventh consecutive year that Roy Toft has escorted a group of serious photographers to Botswana!
The itinerary has been designed to provide the photographer with an opportunity to explore two different habitats in northern Botswana. Our adventure begins in the heart of the Delta, which offers one of the finest nature and game photo opportunities in Africa. We also visit the Linyanti area, where we will photograph during early morning, late afternoon, and evening drives. Besides your normal plains game, these areas have good concentrations of lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. Large herds of elephant also move through the area.

Our safari will include day and night game viewing in open 4x4 vehicles, and excursions on the scenic waterways of the Okavango Delta. Another bonus to this year's Botswana Wildlife Safari is the option to spend three nights in the Makgadikgadi Pans Game Reserve at Jack's Camp!

Cyanotype Printing Workshop with Olivia Barrionuevo & Guillermo LeFranc
Sunday, March 25, 2012  10 am - 3:00 pm
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process developed in the mid 1800's which renders a cyan/blue print. Cyanotype chemistry can be applied to fabrics as well as paper which allows the artist to expand the mediums on which their images are displayed. The topics covered in this one day workshop are: how to mix the chemistry, coating the medium [watercolor paper only in this workshop], proper exposure, processing and washing the print. Also covered are special techniques which produce richer blues and cyans, as well as transform the print into brown tones. Each student will be provided with all required chemistry and 8x10 watercolor sheets. For more information, and to sign up, please click here.
