Artist-activist Robert Glenn Ketchum creates challenging photographic works that deal with American landscapes compromised by man-made threats. In 1983, Robert began to re-contextualize his images through a collaboration with a Chinese embroidery guild that translated his work into incredibly detailed textiles. Robert continues to expand meaning in his images with a series of panels created in the digital darkroom that play with color, symmetry and detail. These works will be on view in Nature LA: Robert Glenn Ketchum, along with a rarely seen example of his embroidery, Can’t See the Trees for the Forest.
Robert Glenn Ketchum's artistic vision of the natural world is succinctly expressed in a series of images exhibited in Nature LA. The G2 Gallery’s ongoing series of fine art photography expresses themes dealing with our environment and identifies the emerging trends in the cutting edge of a new and visually alluring form of nature photography.
