Born in Holland and raised in Montreal, Maureen J. Haldeman's initial interest in photography stemmed from a life of world travel. After the birth of her daughter, Maureen gained a reputation for her portraiture and opened a studio in Malibu where she currently resides. Maureen is on the Malibu Arts Task Force, which identifies public art opportunities for the city, and is currently working on a photo series of Old Havana drawing on images taken on her recent trip to Cuba. Her award winning photography has been shown at the Happening Gallery in Marina del Rey.
Maureen J. Haldeman's artistic vision of the natural world is succinctly expressed in a series of images exhibited in Nature LA. The G2 Gallery’s ongoing series of fine art photography expresses themes dealing with our environment and identifies the emerging trends in the cutting edge of a new and visually alluring form of nature photography.
