Christa Mae is a Venice, CA based photographer, specializing in product, portraiture, editorial and fine art photography. Christa took up photography at age 12, developing at an early age her intimate understanding and awareness of movement, pose and composition. This is reflected not only in her portraiture, but also in the various inanimate objects she photographs. These qualities, coupled with her attention to detail, understanding of reflective surfaces and sensual lighting choices make her a truly skilled professional. Her client list includes: Mattel, Boeing, Fred Segal and Kawasaki. This image is part of a series titled, "Nature Dissected" which reflects her interpretation of nature as objects of design. By dissecting and recomposing macro shots of plant life, she reminds us how nature has influenced our man-made world with its color and design.
Christa Mae's artistic vision of the natural world is succinctly expressed in a series of images exhibited in Nature LA. The G2 Gallery’s ongoing series of fine art photography expresses themes dealing with our environment and identifies the emerging trends in the cutting edge of a new and visually alluring form of nature photography.
The G2 Gallery is free and open to the public. Admission to special events, including artist receptions, is $5 at the door and will directly support environmental charities.
