March 2, 2010 – March 28, 2010
Bernard Wolf is a Santa Monica-based photographer with over 30 years experience and highly visible mainstream clients such as C.C Skye Jewelry and Charles David Shoes. Having focused his career on both commercial and landscape photography, Bernard’s main interest has always been nature and the ways in which it manifests itself in the built environment. Bernard’s series “Nocturnal Botanica,” shot primarily in the Venice/Santa Monica area, points the camera at landscaped trees as often overlooked fixtures in the urban setting. Shot with long exposures using only available light, the sometimes bedraggled, sometimes meticulously pruned forms emerge as sculptural objects.
Bernard Wolf's artistic vision of the natural world is succinctly expressed in a series of images exhibited in Nature LA. The G2 Gallery’s ongoing series of fine art photography expresses themes dealing with our environment and identifies the emerging trends in the cutting edge of a new and visually alluring form of nature photography.
