Upon completion of his studies at Pasadena Art Center College of Design, Marc Muench quickly established himself as a respected landscape and sports photographer. He is widely sought out for his work, not only for his technical and artistic prowess but also for the subtle additions he brings into his photos. Much of his outdoor adventure photography that captures skiers, mountaineers, and kayakers are unique to the 'action' shot because of the significance placed on the landscape. Marc's unique eye is attributable to a critical awareness of the art world with an emphasis on "closely study[ing] what's being done in photography now to find out how to differentiate yourself."
However successful commercial practice has been for Marc, it is only a means for him to continue to publish several landscape photography books, both independently and in collaboration with his father, the well-respected photographer David Muench. Marc is also a regular contributor to National Geographic, Skiing, Outside and Time Magazine.
As a third-generation photographer, Marc Muench has emerged with his own unique voice and style, blending landscapes, action and other genres. Currently serving as the President of Muench Photography Inc, Marc is excited to be among the first artists to embrace wide-format printing, a technique with the flexibility to print on variable materials and sizes, allowing for a wide range of customization.
