Clyde Butcher's black and white photographs explore his personal relationship with the environment. The exquisite beauty and depth of his work draw the viewer into a relationship with nature. For more than forty years, he has been preserving on film the untouched areas of the landscape. His large format photography allows him to express the elaborate detail and textures that distinguish the intricacy of the landscape. Clyde’s many awards include Florida’s Artist Hall of Fame Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the North American Nature Photography Association, and The Sierra Club’s Ansel Adams Conservation Award.
The G2 Gallery is proud to welcome Clyde Butcher to our roster of artists. Fresh from his acclaimed exhibition at the Annenberg Space for Photography, The G2 Gallery will be the exclusive west coast home to Clyde's stunning, large-format, black and white photography.
The G2 Gallery is free and open to the public. Admission to special events, including artist receptions, is $5 at the door and will directly support environmental charities.
