September 13, 2011 – November 6, 2011
Featuring: Miriam Schulman | Rebecca Jackrel
We fear what we do not understand, but the more you learn about spiders, the more you will love them. These amazing creatures live in just about every environment on the planet and produce complex webs of silk with a tensile strength to rival nylon. They are gentle, intelligent, and absolutely essential to the ecosystems humans inhabit. Photographers Rebecca Jackrel and Miriam Schulman shed light on the often misunderstood spider, sharing with us their Arachnophilia. All proceeds from art sales will be donated to The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation.
Reception October 29, 2011, 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
The Xerces Society is a nonprofit organization that protects wildlife through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitat.
