About Rob Badger

For 40 years Rob Badger has created images of the natural world for a wide variety of clients, collectors and art buyers. Using aerial and ground perspectives, Rob’s powerful, color imagery focuses on conservation, population and environmental issues. He has won international awards for his Antarctica and wildflower series, and “Best in Journalism” for his evocative environmental photography.  In 1998 Rob was chosen by the Sierra Club to deliver a lecture at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. to support their fight for federal mining law reform. His diverse work has appeared in calendars, books, newspapers and national/international magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post and TIME. Rob lives in Sausalito, CA with photographer Nita Winter. Their collaboration on a new book, “Impressions of Spring, Wildflowers of the West on Our Public Lands,” documents vanishing wildflower species, and habitat, related to climate change
