Conservation photographer Michael Forsberg’s work focuses on the terrain of his native Nebraska, and the vast Great Plains region. After receiving a degree in geography with an emphasis in environmental studies from the University of Nebraska, Mike worked for six years at NEBRASKAland Magazine, the state’s conservation publication, where he got his start as a staff photographer and writer. Six years later, he opened his own gallery and photography business. To date, Mike’s work has appeared in numerous publications including Audubon, National Geographic, and Natural History. He has published two books that have resulted in traveling exhibitions: On Ancient Wings—The Sandhill Cranes of North America and Great Plains—America’s Lingering Wild. Michael Forsberg is based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The G2 Gallery is free and open to the public. Admission to special events, including artist receptions, is $5 at the door and will directly support environmental charities.
