For many years, Sandra Lee roamed the Southwest like a nouveau bedouin, surveying the landscape from her motor home on a journey of discovery. On these long sojourns through ruins of Native civilizations, Sandra Lee would often come across potsherds crawling with reptiles that would later serve as the inspiration for her gourd pots. Sandra Lee settled in Northern California where she handcrafts gourds and lifelike one-of-a-kind sculptures of reptiles. Her work is collected by aficionados across the country.
